Mount Baker Wilderness. April 2021. Life happens. Friends get separated and personal growth becomes physical distance. Vu Pham and Andrew Sword flew back from Texas and Colorado respectively to the mountains they know and love to embark on another weekend of suffering with good company. Our team of 5 made great time to the summit of Mount Baker via the Coleman–Deming route, gritting up the final stage past the 42º Roman Wall climb to be greeted by blistering winds. Vu and Freddy were able to check all 5 local volcanos off of their list. For me, that’s #3.
